Hardly had this year’s event entered the second half of its schedule when LOEB established his leading position with Citroën C4 WRC’s remarkable performance. Securing another victory in Alsace, France, LOEB successfully defended his championship 2 stations prior to the end of the year’s event. Wearing a charming smile, this young Frenchman has created a legend in the racing world with his unprecedented 7 championships.

Citroën has been giving ample support to LOEB. LOEB signed a contract with Citroën in 2002, and after a short time of adjustment, he started his journey of creating a legend. Citroën has kept the cup of championship firmly in its hold since it won the 1st WRC championship in 2004, and from 2003 to 2005, Citroën won manufacturer’s championship for 3 years in a row. After a short withdrawal in 2006, Citroën came back to WRC with a new team, introducing C4 WRC, a new model based on C4 concept, which brought the team a propitious start. In the first leg in Monte Carlo, after a perfect combination of drifting, acceleration and braking, Citroën C4 WRC paved LOEB’s way to the medals podium. In the following 3 years, Citroën won 3 connective championships again, showing the strength of the WRC king.
